Information stored in the app

Depending on how you use Vial, the app may contain sensitive health-adjacent records you enter, including peptide protocol names, compound or medication names, dose logs, vial or pen setup details, site rotation history, reminders, notes, side effects, progress entries, and exported files you choose to create.

On-device storage

Vial is built as a local-first personal utility. Protocol logs and tracking records are intended to stay on your device unless you choose to export them, include them in a support email, restore them through device backup behavior controlled by Apple, or use a future optional sync feature that is covered by an updated policy before release.

Support and contact information

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to include. Do not send sensitive medical details unless they are necessary for the support request. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond, maintain records of the request, troubleshoot the app, and comply with legal obligations.

Apple purchases and subscriptions

When paid features are offered, Apple processes purchases and subscriptions through the App Store. Vial may receive purchase status, entitlement status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, renewal status, or similar App Store information needed to unlock paid features and support billing questions. Vial does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

How information is used

• To show your schedule, recent logs, site history, inventory estimates, reminders, and exportable history.
• To respond to support requests you send by email.
• To maintain, debug, and improve the app experience without making medical decisions, protocol recommendations, or dosing decisions for you.
• To manage purchases, subscriptions, refunds, or entitlement status through Apple where applicable.

Third parties

• Apple may process App Store purchases, subscription management, refunds, and device-level services according to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
• Your email provider and Vial's support email provider may process support messages you choose to send.
• Vial does not sell personal tracking data for advertising.
• Vial does not use protocol logs, medication names, dose history, side effects, or site history for advertising, marketing profiling, or data mining.
• If a future version adds optional accounts, cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, or integrations that collect or transmit additional data, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures should be updated before release.

Retention and deletion

• Local app records stay on your device until you edit them, delete them, delete the app, clear app data where available, or change device backup/restore behavior controlled by Apple.
• Exported files are controlled by you after export and may remain wherever you save or share them.
• Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, keep business records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
• You can contact support to request help with correction, export, or deletion. We may need to verify the request and may not be able to delete records that exist only on your device or in locations you control.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete entries inside the app where those controls are available.
• You can export records when the app provides export tools.
• You can manage App Store subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
• You can contact support for privacy questions or deletion guidance.

Children

Vial is intended for adults. It is not directed to children and should not be used by anyone under 18.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The current version should remain available on this website.
